Arrived in Dublin!

The Aerlingus flight was uneventful. We arrived around 4:30 am local time. As our accommodations--Trinity College--did not open until 7:30 am for leaving our bags, we very leisurely got coffee, bought our LEAP pass, found the bus station, and worked our way into town.

Trinity College let us check in early. Sweet. Launching from there, we saw the Book of Kells, the Brian Boru harp, Kilmainham Gaol, an exhibit about the Potato Famine, and St. Stephen's Green. A simple lunch was fit in there, too.  We've done a lot of people watching and learned a lot of Irish history. The locals we've spoken to have been so very kind to us.

Entrance to Trinity College.
Kilmainham Gaol, view of the new, open wing.

Kilmainham Gaol, site where one of the Easter Uprising of 1916 executions took place.

Entrance to the gaol...snakes!

St. Stephen's Green, a lovely place to people watch.

The oldest harp in Ireland.

So many books! Trinity College.
