Transfer to Galway

The morning was spent finding good coffee, checking out from the fine lodgings, and storing luggage, followed by too short visits to the National Library of Ireland (genealogy) and the neighboring National Museum of Ireland (really excellent).

Ancient gold jewelry at the
National Museum.

Then we retrieved our luggage and made our way to the Heuston Train Station.  On the train, we sat next to a couple from Northern Ireland. After exchanging bags of crisps, we also exchanged much conversation. We learned so much about Irish life by talking to this charming twosome.
Part of the crisp exchange.

Galway is a lively town with lots of tourists milling about the pedestrian walkways.
Galway, River Corrib meets the sea.

Yum!  The Pie Maker delivers.
